The Chicago premiere of James Joyce’s “The Dead,” one of the most lauded new musicals of the last decade. Friends and family gather to eat and drink on the Feast of the Epipihany in Dublin at the turn of the 20th century. During the festivities, a familiar song reignites a long-buried passion in one of the party’s guests, and the memories of unfulfilled possibilities spark haunting epiphanies.
