General Auditions
EQUITY ACTORS (MEMBERS OF ACTORS’ EQUITY ASSOCIATION)
Equity Auditions are held towards the beginning of each year in Chicago. Once Equity general audition dates are announced, you can either make an appointment in person at the Equity office or call the Chicago Equity audition hotline. Please take note that Court Theatre does not schedule appointments; all appointments are scheduled though the Equity office.
NON-EQUITY ACTORS (NON-MEMBERS OF ACTORS’ EQUITY ASSOCIATION)
Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis. If we are interested in seeing your work at a general audition, we will contact you directly. Non-Equity general auditions are typically held twice a year, and we usually receive more submissions than we have slots for; if it happens that you are not among the few selected, we encourage you to submit once again in four to six months.
