JOHN CULBERT designed scenery or lighting for many Court productions, including Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead; Antigone; The Gospel at Colonus; Arsenic and Old Lace; The Tragedy of Othello, the Moor of Venice; Oedipus Rex; The Adventures of Augie March; All My Sons; and Iphigenia in Aulis; Goodman’s Having Our Say; Lookingglass’s Villette ; and TimeLine’s The Lehman Trilogy. He has also designed for Northlight, Writers, Glimmerglass Opera, Singapore Repertory, Opera National du Rhin, Berkeley Rep, McCarter Theatre, and Shakespeare Theatre Company. He served as the dean of The Theatre School at DePaul University for over 20 years.
