WENDY MATEO is the Artistic Director of Teatro Vista Productions, and an actor, writer, director, and filmmaker. Mateo has been seen on stages throughout Chicago, including at Lookingglass Theatre, where she is an ensemble member. Mateo’s directing credits include the play Not for Sale 2.0 by Guadalis del Carmen at UrbanTheater Company, ¡Bernarda! By Emilio Williams at Teatro Vista Productions and the upcoming world premiere of The Brief and Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao at Goodman Theatre. On television and film, Mateo can be seen on Chicago Med, as Ronnie in Station Eleven, and in Steve McQueen’s Widows. As a filmmaker, Wendy has written and produced three short films including the latest, Hair, written and directed by Lorena Diaz and Wendy Mateo.
