GEORGIA LACY is a native Chicagoan. She worked in Social Service Administration for over 25 years, and is the mother of three adults and grandmother of five. Georgia became affiliated with the LGBTQ+ community in the 1970’s. During the AIDS crisis, she grieved the loss of her brother and many friends and relatives. Georgia is an active participant in several women’s organizations, and has a special interest in affirming religious groups such as MCC, TFAM, UCC, and UU. Georgia continues to be interested in all things political, legislative, and social that concern our community. As for now, she is mostly enjoying her Golden Years.
