Spotlight Reading Series: The Mighty Gents

A citywide, yearlong event to rediscover classic plays by writers of color.
Led by their old ringleader, Frankie, The Mighty Gents desperately attempt to resurrect their glory days in one, final raid. Presented on Broadway in 1978, Richard Wesley’s play mines the desolation and desperation of a once-prolific gang to lyrically indict how society entraps black youth. Free and open to the public.
