
Dive into the world of 16th century Europe with a UChicago faculty member as your guide! Professor Ada Palmer of the UChicago History Department is a renowned historian of the Renaissance, award-winning science fiction and fantasy author, and dedicated collector of period costumes.
Professor Palmer offers a day of immersion in Renaissance culture and fashion for a group of 8-10 people in honor of Court’s production of The Lion in Winter. This package includes:
- A private interpretative tour of rarely displayed 16th-century artworks and artifacts in the Smart Museum’s vaults.
- A curated array of Renaissance costumes to be worn by the guests as they enjoy cocktails and dinner at a Hyde Park restaurant, and a performance of The Lion in Winter
Professor Palmer will work individually with guests to select unique period looks for men and women varied by status and season.
