Berlin Awarded Steinberg/ATCA Citation

Exciting news! Berlin, the world premiere from Mickle Maher that concluded the 2024/25 season, was just recognized with a prestigious Steinberg/ATCA citation.

The Steinberg/ATCA Award is given in partnership by the Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust and the American Theatre Critics/Journalists Association (ATCA). The top award (presented to The Pilon by Zach Barr) includes a $25,000 prize, with two additional citations of $7,500 each recognizing exceptional work.
Berlin was one of the two cited plays, alongside Things with Friends by Kristoffer Diaz. All three plays—The Pilon, Berlin, and Things with Friends—originated in Chicago. It was a fantastic night for the Chicago theatre community, and a celebration of this city’s rich artistic legacy.
Join us in congratulating Mickle Maher and the entire Berlin team on this well-deserved recognition.
