Court Theatre’s Student Matinee program brings classic theatre to approximately 4,000 Chicago-area high school students per season through a series of deeply discounted weekday performances. Each matinee is enhanced by pre-performance Learning Guides and post-show discussions with cast members that invite students to consider classic stories in a new light.
Our Student Matinees are developed with high school-aged audiences in mind; please call the Box Office at (773) 753-4472 to inquire about bringing younger groups. We recommend a minimum of one chaperone for every 20 students (but you can of course bring more!). As an added bonus, chaperones attend at Student Matinees for free!

Our Student Matinees often sell out! If your desired Student Matinee is full, try joining us for an evening or a weekend performance; we offer discounted student group tickets that may be as little as $3 more than the Student Matinee series price. We also encourage you to call the Box Office at (773) 753-4472 to ask about potential availability, and fill out the Groups Form in case there are any openings.
