A marathon reading of Homer’s Iliad in 24 hours
Produced by University of Chicago’s Classical Entertainment Society

Come celebrate one of Western literature’s most enduring legacies with us! Following the Sunday evening performance of An Iliad on November 20, the University of Chicagos Classical Entertainment Society will stage a 24-hour public reading of HomerIliad. Readers will consist of University of Chicago professors, students, and YOU! Court Theatre will remain open all night Sunday and all day Monday, so sign up to read your favorite passage or drop in to listen and partake of free coffee and refreshments. Marvel at the power of this epic poem as we delve into the rage of Achilles and the immortal story of the Trojan War.
