| Daniel Behrendt (Ensemble) is thrilled to be making his debut with Court. Daniel is a graduate of Illinois State University where he majored in acting. Previous Chicago credits include Hamlet (Guildenstern) with the Signal Theatre Ensemble, Gas Mask 101 (Honch) with Marry-Arrchie and Moving Dock’s production of Einstein’s Dreams. Daniel is also a recent graduate of the School at Steppenwolf. He would like to thank his mother, father, and Sadieh for their continual love and support.
Eddie Bennett (Ensemble) is excited to be back at Court Theatre having last appeared in Arcadia. Other Chicago credits include The Merchant of Venice (Red Tape), Pins (Bailiwick Rep), and Electra (BoHo Theatre). Most recently he co-created and performed Noir at The Building Stage where he is an ensemble member. Prior to landing in Chicago, Eddie studied theatre at Bard College under director JoAnne Akalaitis.
Phillip James Brannon (Aaron) makes his Court debut in Titus Andronicus. Goodman credits include The Cook, directed by Henry Godinez, Oedipus Complex, adapted and directed by Frank Galati, and A Christmas Carol, directed by William Brown. Other Chicago credits include Elmina’s Kitchen, directed by Derrick Sanders with Congo Square, An Immigrant Class with Remy Bumppo, and The Last Supper with InFusion. He received his BFA from The Theatre School of DePaul University.
Matthew Brumlow (Lucius) is excited to make his Court debut with Titus. He is a proud ensemble member of Chicago’s American Theater Company where he most recently played Curly in the critically acclaimed Oklahoma! Matthew has eleven production credits at ATC as well as Jeff Award Nominations for his work in A View from the Bridge and Oklahoma!. In Chicago, Matthew has also performed with Writers’ Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare, Northlight Theatre, Apple Tree Theatre, About Face, and many others. Regional credits include work with Peninsula Players, Summer Shakespeare Notre Dame, Door Shakespeare, a national tour of A Streetcar Named Desire with Montana Repertory Theatre in which he played “Stanley,” six productions with the fantastic Montana Shakespeare in the Parks, and Indiana Repertory Theatre where he most recently played Hamlet.
Kevin Gudahl (Marcus) returns to Court Theatre where he has appeared in Uncle Vanya, Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Woolf?, My Fair Lady, School For Wives, Putting It Together, The Misanthrope, Travesties, and Celimene and the Cardinal. Other Chicago credits include numerous appearances at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre in such shows as Julius Caesar, A Little Night Music, A Flea in Her Ear, and the title role in Macbeth; The House of Martin Guerre, Zoot Suit, and most recently King Lear at the Goodman Theatre; and the musicals 1776 and The King and I at the Marriott Theatre. Additional Chicago credits include shows at Writers; Theatre, Northlight, Victory Gardens, Apple Tree, National Jewish Theatre, Briar Street, and Wisdom Bridge. International stage appearances include Pacific Overtures at the Donmar Warehouse in London, Henry IV (Parts 1 & 2) at the Swan Theatre for the Royal Shakespeare Company, and five seasons with the Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Canada in plays such as Twelfth Night, Oedipus Rex, and Three Sisters. Film credits include While You Were Sleeping and Home Alone III. Television credits include Early Edition (CBS), Crime Story (NBC), and The Untouchables. Kevin is a recipient of Chicago’s Joseph Jefferson Award and an After Dark Award. He has been a proud member of Actors’ Equity since 1985.
Erik Hellman (Ensemble) returns to Court Theatre having played Valentine in last season’s production of Arcadia. Recent work includes The Elephant Man and Huck Finn (Steppenwolf), The Busy World is Hushed (Next Theatre), Feast (Chicago Dramatists), Tartuffe (Remy Bumppo), Hatfield and McCoy (The House Theatre of Chicago), New Orleans (The Side Project) and Macbeth (The Mirror Rep: off-Broadway, NY). Erik is a member of Strawdog Theatre Company where he has appeared in Three Sisters, Impossible Marriage (Jeff Nomination: Best Supporting Actor) and Puntila and His Man Matti. Film work includes the upcoming feature The Dark Knight. Erik is a Denver native and a graduate of Northwestern University.
Anish Jethmalani (Ensemble) returns to Court Theatre after appearing in previous seasons’ productions of Life’s a Dream, The Invention of Love, and Mary Stuart. Other stage credits include Merchant on Venice at Silk Road Theatre; Sita Ram at Lookingglass; To the Greenfields Beyond at Writers’ Theatre; Omnium Gatherum at Next Theatre; Homeland Security at Victory Gardens; Wit and A Christmas Carol at The Goodman Theatre; Romeo and Juliet at Chicago Shakespeare; and Indian Ink at Apple Tree. He is a member of Eclipse Theatre and a graduate of Loyola University and the Oxford School of Drama in England.
Timothy Edward Kane (Titus Andronicus) is pleased to return to Court Theatre having previously appeared in Uncle Vanya, The Romance Cycle: Cymbeline & Pericles, and Hamlet. Other Chicago credits include: Arms and the Man (Writers’ Theatre), The Miser, She Stoops to ConquerAfter Dark Award (Northlight Theatre), Hamlet, Henry IV, Parts 1 & 2 (also performed at the Royal Shakespeare Company, Stratford-Upon-Avon, UK), A Flea In Her Ear, The Merchant of Venice, King John, The Moilére Comedies, Love’s Labour’s Lost, The Tempest, Short Shakespeare! A Midsummer Night’s Dream, King Lear, All’s Well That Ends Well (Chicago Shakespeare), The Underpants (Noble Fool Theatricals), Hushabye Mountain, Early and Often, Hellcab (Famous Door), Cyrano de Bergerac, The Clink (Rivendell Theatre Ensemble). Regional credits include: School for Scandal (Mark Taper Forum), Broadway Bound, Fools, Soufflé Surprise (Peninsula Players) and two seasons with the Illinois Shakespeare Festival. Elizabeth Ledo (Lavinia) is delighted to be back at Court Theatre again after appearing in last season’s Uncle Vanya. Chicago credits include: The Old Curiosity Shop at Lookingglass Theatre, The Chalk Garden at Northlight Theatre, Arms and the Man at Writers’ Theatre, Say You Love Satan at About Face Theatre, A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Morningstar and Homebody/Kabul at Steppenwolf Theatre, The Odd Couple and Barefoot in the Park at Drury Lane Oakbrook Theatre. Regional credits include: Romeo and Juliet and Comedy of Errors at Summer Shakespeare at Notre Dame, Arcadia at Indiana Repertory Theatre, and over 15 productions with Milwaukee Repertory Theatre where some favorites include The Clean House, Tartuffe, The Lonesome West, Escape from Happiness, and The Crucible. Elizabeth is a voice-over talent in Chicago and has done numerous TV and radio spots as well as regularly joining The Twilight Zone Radio Dramas produced by the Falcon Picture Group. She is a proud graduate of Loyola University of Chicago and has been a proud member of Equity since 1999.
Andy Nagraj (Ensemble) is thrilled to be making his Court Theatre debut. Previous credits include Merchant on Venice (Silk Road), Othello (Ohio Shakespeare), Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Theatre IV), Intimate Apparel (Barksdale), Picasso at the Lapin Agile (Modlin Center), The Tempest (Richmond Shakespeare), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Virginia Shakespeare), and Forever Plaid (Swift Creek Mill). A native of Richmond, Virginia, Andy studied at the University of Richmond and the School at Steppenwolf.

Corey Rieger (Ensemble) is excited to be making his debut with Court Theatre. He has recently worked with Madison Repertory Theatre’s New Play Festival, BoarsHead Theatre in Lansing, Michigan, Greasy Joan and Co., Metropolis Performing Arts Centre, Pittsburgh Playhouse Repertory, and Ninth Wave Theatre in Galway, Ireland. Also a playwright, Corey is a proud native of Pittsburgh, PA, where he is an artistic associate with the Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre Company.
Matt Schwader (Ensemble) makes his Court debut in Titus Andronicus. Chicago credits include: A Life in the Theatre (Goodman Theatre); All Night Strut (Marriott Theatre); Mrs. Warren’s Profession (Remy Bumppo Theatre); and numerous productions with Chicago Shakespeare Theatre. Matt has performed with Actors Theatre of Louisville, Indiana Repertory, and Summer Shakespeare Notre Dame. He holds an MFA from the University of Delaware’s Professional Theatre Training Program and is a company member with American Players Theatre in Spring Green, WI.

| Charles Newell (Director/Artistic Director) has been Artistic Director of Court Theatre since 1994, where he has directed over 30 productions. He made his Chicago directorial debut in 1993 with The Triumph of Love, which won the Jefferson Award for Best Production. Directorial credits at Court include Arcadia, Uncle Vanya, Raisin, The Glass Menagerie, Man of La Mancha, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Hamlet, The Invention of Love, and Nora. Charlie has also directed at the Guthrie Theater (The History Cycle, Cymbeline), Arena Stage, John Houseman’s The Acting Company, the California and Alabama Shakespeare Festivals, Juilliard, and New York University. He is the recipient of the 1992 TCG Alan Schneider Director Award. He served on the Board of Theatre Communications Group, as well as on several panels for the National Endowment for the Arts. Opera directing credits include the Lyric Opera of Chicago with Marc Blitzstein’s Regina, and Rigoletto at Opera Theatre of St. Louis. His recent production of Man of La Mancha at Court was the recipient of 6 Joseph Jefferson Awards, including Best ProductionMusical and Best DirectorMusical. |

| Leigh Breslau (Scenic Design) is not a set designer. He is design partner at the architecture, engineering, and planning firm of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP. Leigh has designed many performing arts venues including Symphony Center in Chicago and the Long Center in Austin, Texas. He has also been involved in renovations of Avery Fisher Hall in New York and the Lyric Opera and Ravinia Festival in Chicago, and was the master planner for Chicago’s Millenium Park. Currently he is designing a new performing arts center for Dallas, Texas and a festival park in Norfolk, Virginia. This is his second scenic design for Court Theatre, returning to join Charlie after having worked on Uncle Vanya.

Joshua Horvath (Sound Design) Court credits: What the Butler Saw, Arcadia, Flyin’ West, Raisin’, Fences, Man of La Mancha, Endgame, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Guys and Dolls, and The Romance Cycle. Josh’s designs and compositions have been heard throughout Chicago at The Goodman, Steppenwolf, Lookingglass, About Face, Chicago Shakespeare, Next, Northlight, and Congo Square. His regional credits include: The Kennedy Center, Hartford Stage, Center Theatre Group, Kansas City Rep, Madison Rep, Milwaukee Rep, Great River Shakespeare, Milwaukee Shakespeare, and Illinois Shakespeare. Awards: Joseph Jefferson Award, and five time nominee, LA Weekly award nominee, and TCG Young Designer Finalist. He has taught Sound Design at DePaul and currently teaches at Northwestern University. Joshua is a member of ASCAP, USA 829, artistic associate of Lookingglass, and co-owner of Aria Music Designs LLC. Brian H. Scott (Lighting Design) With Classic Stage Company, he designed Hamlet, Richard II, and Richard III. As a SITI Company member he designed lighting for Hotel Cassiopeia, Death and the Ploughman, bobrauschenbergamerica (Henry Hewes Design Award 2004), and War of the Worlds Radio Play, as well as the dance collaboration ‘Systems/Layers.’ Recently, he designed lighting for Marina: A Captive Spirit and The Darkling with American Opera Projects, Songs from an Unmade Bed with NYTW, and Twisted Olivia with director Everett Quinton at Arena Stage. He created the scenery and lighting for Macbeth and lighting for The Laramie Project and Death of a Salesman in Baton Rouge. With the Austin, TX-based Rude Mechanicals, he has designed numerous productions including How Late It Was How Late, Lipstick Traces, MatchPlay, Cherrywood, and Get Your War On, among others.

| Ellen Hay (Production Stage Manager) has been stage managing in Chicago for the past decade. Most recently, she stage managed the New York Public Theater’s workshop of The Bacchae directed by JoAnne Akalaitis with new music composed by Philip Glass. Her Court Theatre credits include Thyestes, Arcadia, Raisin, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Guys and Dolls, My Fair Lady, The Chairs, Mary Stuart, The Invention of Love, The Little Foxes, La Bête and Nora. William Collins (Assistant Stage Manager) is glad to return to Court where he previously was Assistant Stage Manager for Thyestes, Arcadia, Flyin’ West, Uncle Vanya, and Endgame and Floor Manager for the 2003/04 season. William has worked with Redmoon Theater as their Production Stage Manager and most recently as their Production Manager. William has also worked with About Face Theatre, Lookingglass Theatre, the Neo-Futurists, and Goodman Theatre. William is a graduate of the Theatre School at DePaul University.
