LANCE STUART BAKER (Nick) is appearing in his ninth Court production, following Cyrano, Guys and Dolls, Pericles, Cymbeline, Hamlet, Twelfth Night, Piano, and The Invention of Love. Lance will also appear in Court’s upcoming production of The Importance of Being Earnest. Other credits include Lobby Hero at Goodman (Jeff nomination), No Place Like Home at Steppenwolf, The Grey Zone at A Red Orchid, Indulgences in the Louisville Harem for Rivendell, Nocturne for Naked Eye, Betty’s Summer Vacation, [SIC], This is Our Youth (Jeff nomination), Ecstasy (Chicago and LA), Dealer’s Choice (Jeff nomination), Orestes, and Was for Roadworks. Lance is an ensemble member of A Red Orchid Theatre.

KEVIN GUDAHL (George) returns to Court Theatre where he last appeared in My Fair Lady directed by Gary Griffin and received a Jeff Award for his performance of Henry Higgins. Other Court performances include: Claudius in Hamlet, Alceste in The Misanthrope, Lenin in Travesties, Arnolphe in The School For Wives, and the title role in Célimine and the Cardinal. Kevin most recently performed in Shaw’s The Doctor’s Dilemma at Writer’s Theatre. Other Chicago theatre productions include: A Little Night Music, Antony and Cleopatra, King Lear, and Macbeth at Chicago Shakespeare; Zoot Suit and The House of Martin Guerre (Jeff Award) at Goodman Theatre; and 1776 and The King and I at Marriott Theatre. He has also appeared at Northlight, Victory Gardens, Apple Tree, Briar Street and National Jewish Theatre. International credits include five seasons with the Stratford Skakespeare Festival in Canada; performances with the Canadian Stage Company in Toronto and the Neptune Theatre in Nova Scotia; and on the West End in London in Pacific Overtures (Olivier Award for Best Musical) at the Donmar Warehouse. Film credits include: While You Were Sleeping and Home Alone III. Television includes: The Untouchables, Crime Story (NBC), and Early Edition (CBS). BARBARA E. ROBERTSON (Martha) last appeared at Court Theatre under Charles Newell’s direction in Hamlet. Other Court appearances include Mary Stuart (Jefferson Award nomination), La Bête (After Dark Award), The Little Foxes, Piano, Twelfth Night; The Cherry Orchard, An Ideal Husband, Tartuffe (Jeff nomination), The Philadelphia Story, and The House of Blue Leaves (Jeff nomination). WHITNEY SNEED (Honey) is happy to return to Court Theatre where she was last seen in the title role in Fraulein Else. She recently returned from Ireland where she performed with Steppenwolf Theatre Company at the Galway Arts Festival. Her past credits include Orange Flower Water at Steppenwolf, The Laramie Project, The Marvelous Wonderettes, and The Fall Festival of the Future at Madison Repertory Theatre, Romeo and Juliet at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Paragon Springs, Gaslight, and Halcyon Days at Timeline Theatre, and The American Girl Revue and Circle of Friends at The American Girl Place. Independent films including Jeff Farnsworth, Black Off a Crow, and Adam. She wants to thank Scott for his constant support. |

LAXMI KUMARAN (Production Stage Manager) has worked as a stage manager in Chicago for the past eight years. A selection of shows she has stage managed at Court Theatre include James Joyce’s “The Dead,” The Romance Cycle, Cyrano, Phédre, The Learned Ladies, The Invention of Love, and Gross Indecency with such directors as Charles Newell, JoAnne Akalaitis and Gary Griffin. Other theatres include The Goodman, Lookingglass with 500 Clown, The Royal George, Apple Tree, First Folio Shakespeare Festival and Next Theatre. She has taught stage management classes at Northern Illinois and DePaul Universities.

ELLEN HAY (Assistant Stage Manager) returns to Court Theatre where her credits include Guys and Dolls, My Fair Lady, The Chairs, Mary Stuart, The Invention of Love, Life’s a Dream, La Bête, The Little Foxes and Nora. She is also a stage manager at the Goodman Theatre, where she worked on last season’s Edward Albee Festival of One-Acts and The Play About the Baby. Other Goodman credits include Moonlight and Magnolias, Seneca’s Trojan Women, By the Music of the Spheres, Lobby Hero, The Gift Horse, Among the Thugs, House and Garden, Schoolgirl Figure and Millennium Mambo. Ellen has also stage managed Hamlet with Lookingglass, Two Timing with Roadworks and Bent with Gilead, and was the Road Manager for Nebraska Theatre Caravan’s East coast tour of A Christmas Carol. |
