LANCE STUART BAKER (Henry Carr) is appearing in his eleventh Court production, following The Importance of Being Earnest, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Cyrano, Guys and Dolls, Pericles, Cymbeline, Hamlet, Twelfth Night, Piano, and The Invention of Love. Other credits include Lobby Hero at Goodman (Jeff nomination), No Place Like Home at Steppenwolf, The Grey Zone at A Red Orchid, Indulgences in the Louisville Harem for Rivendell, Nocturne for Naked Eye, Betty’s Summer Vacation, [SIC], This is Our Youth (Jeff nomination), Ecstasy (Chicago and LA), Dealer’s Choice (Jeff nomination), Orestes, and Was for Roadworks. Lance is an ensemble member of A Red Orchid Theatre.

SEAN ALLAN KRILL(Tristan Tzara ) was last seen at Court as Jack in The Importance of Being Earnest. Chicago credits: 1776 (Thomas Jefferson), The Pirates of Penzance (Pirate King) and Damn Yankees (Joe Hardy) at Marriott Theatre; Sunday in the Park with George (Soldier) at Chicago Shakespeare; Everything’s Ducky (Wolf) at Northlight; Jesus Christ Superstar (Jesus) and Brigadoon (Tommy) at Drury Lane Oakbrook; The All Night Strut! (Jeff Award - Best Revue) at Drury Lane Evergreen Park; and Forever Plaid (Sparky) original Chicago cast (Jeff Award - Best Ensemble, Best Revue) at Royal George. CRISTEN PAIGE (Cecily) was last seen at Court Theater as Cecily in The Importance of Being Earnest and as Rita/Young Julia in James Joyce’s “The Dead.” Chicago credits include: The Visit (Goodman), Lucky Stiff, Dames at Sea (Drury Lane), Bye Bye Birdie, Honk! (Marriott Theatre), The Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan (Chicago Shakespeare), Gypsy (Theater at the Center), Taming of the Shrew (Shakespeare Project). Regional credits include: Into the Woods, The Taffetas (Penninsula Players), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (IRT). Cristen holds a BFA in Acting from Boston University.
HEIDI KETTENRING(Gwendolen) was last seen at Court Theatre as Gwendolen in The Importance of Being Earnest, and as Miss Adelaide in Guys and Dolls for which she received an After Dark Award. Chicagoland credits include Sunset Boulevard (Betty), The Pajama Game (Babe), Funny Girl (Fanny Brice, Jeff nomination), and Carousel (Carrie) at the Marriott Theatre; Short Shakespeare! A Midsummer Night's Dream (Helena) at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre; Always... Patsy Cline (Patsy), Steel Magnolias (Annelle), and Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey) at Theatre at the Center; Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Narrator), Brigadoon (Meg), and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Rosemary) at Drury Lane Oakbrook Terrace; And the World Goes 'Round at Drury Lane Evergreen Park; The Taffetas (Peggy) at Peninsula Players; Side Show at Northlight and the Bernstein Celebration at Ravinia. She spent one year on tour with Disney’s Beauty and the Beast understudying Belle.
MARY BETH FISHER (Nadya) Chicago credits include: Heartbreak House, Dinner With Friends, The Rose Tatoo, The Guys, Design for Living, Light Up the Sky, Marvin’s Room, Spinning Into Butter, Boy Gets Girl (Goodman), The Dresser, The Memory of Water (Steppenwolf), Away (Northlight), Theatre District (About Face), My Own Stranger (Writer’s). NY credits: The Night of the Iguana (Roundabout), Boy Gets Girl (Drama League Award and Lucille Lortel and Drama Desk nominations), The Radical Mystique, By the Sea... (Manhattan Theatre Club), Extremeties. She has worked in regional theatres all over the country. TV & Film: NYPD Blue, Profiler, Early Edition, Turks, To Have & To Hold, Dragonfly, Trauma and the award-winning short film Safe Storage.
TIM DONOGHUE (Lenin) was last seen as Paul O’Neill in the world premiere of David Hare’s Stuff Happens, directed by Nick Hytner at the National Theatre of Great Britain. Also at the National, he played Wilson in the world premiere of Jack O’Brien’s production of His Girl Friday, adapted for the stage by John Guare. In London’s West End, he played Henry Kissenger in Nixon’s Nixon, a role he also played at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (Fringe Fest Award), Toronto Harborfest Festival; Hong Kong International Festival; Manchester and Newcastle, UK; Dublin, Ireland; the Taranaki Festival, New Zealand; as well as Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, Australia. Other productions include the American Premiere of Tom Stoppard’s Hapgood at the Ahmanson, Los Angeles, starring Judy Davis and the Off Broadway productions of Louis Quinze and A Day Out of Time. Mr. Donoghue’s regional credits include productions at Long Wharf Theatre, the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego (Associate Artist); Westport Country Playhouse; Yale Rep; Huntington Theatre, Boston; Buffalo Studio Arena; GEVA Theatre; Pasadena Playhouse; the Mark Taper Forum; South Coast Repertory and seven years as a company member of Trinity Rep. in Providence, RI. His film and television credits include Moon of Honor and Ragtime, Law and Order (4 episodes), Cheers, Dallas, Knot’s Landing, and The House of Mirth for PBS.
MATTHEW KRAUSE (Bennett) returns to Court, having appeared in Scapin (also at Intiman, Seattle), Piano, Twelfth Night, and Fair Ladies at a Game of Poem Cards. Other credits include The Merry Wives of Windsor, The Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Chicago Shakespeare Theater), Winesburg, Ohio (About Face/ Steppenwolf), It’s All True, The Cradle Will Rock, Hauptmann (Time Line Theater), Dylan (Seanachai), State Fair, Grand Hotel (Theatre at the Center), and Singin’in the Rain (Drury Lane & CCPA).
JAY WHITTAKER (James Joyce) is happy to return to Court from Cyrano and The Romance Cycle. Jay has played Lucio in Measure for Measure at Chicago Shakespeare Theater, and this fall played Richard Duke of Gloucester in Rose Rage off-Broadway at the Duke theater on 42nd street. Other Chicago credits: Julius Caesar, Love’s Labour Lost, The Tempest (After Dark Award), A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and All’s Well that Ends Well at Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Mother Courage and David Copperfield at Steppenwolf, and work with Victory Gardens and Famous Door Theatre. Jay received his MFA from SMU.
 

STAGE MANAGEMENT

LAXMI KUMARAN (Production Stage Manager) has worked as a stage manager in Chicago for the past eight years. A selection of shows she has stage managed at Court Theatre include The Importance of Being Earnest, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, James Joyce’s “The Dead,” The Romance Cycle, Cyrano, Phédre, The Learned Ladies, The Invention of Love, and Gross Indecency with such directors as Charles Newell, JoAnne Akalaitis and Gary Griffin. Other theatres include The Goodman, Lookingglass with 500 Clown, The Royal George, Apple Tree, First Folio Shakespeare Festival and Next Theatre. She has taught stage management classes at Northern Illinois and De- Paul Universities.

  MARY KATE GAVIN (Assistant Stage Manager) is pleased to return to Court Theatre for another wonderful show. Prior credits include: Stage Manager for Broadway Bound, Fools, Soufflé Surprise, Deathtrap, Caught in the Net, Proof and Taffetas (Peninsula Players); PULP (About Face Theatre); and The Joy of Going Somewhere Definite (Collaboraction). She was the Assistant Stage Manager for The Importance of Being Earnest, James Joyce's “The Dead” and The Romance Cycle (Court Theatre), Mom’s the Word (The Royal George), and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Chicago Shakespeare Theater-Short Shakespeare). Mary Kate also worked as the Floor Manager at The Goodman Theatre for two years where she had the opportunity to work on shows like Boy Gets Girl (American premiere), House and Garden (American premiere), Wit and The Visit (world premiere). She is a graduate of DePaul University’s Theatre School.
