DONOGHUE (Lenin)
was last seen as Paul O’Neill in the world premiere of David Hare’s
Stuff Happens, directed by Nick Hytner at the National Theatre of
Great Britain. Also at the National, he played Wilson in the world
premiere of Jack O’Brien’s production of His Girl Friday, adapted
for the stage by John Guare. In London’s West End, he played Henry
Kissenger in Nixon’s Nixon, a role he also played at the Edinburgh
Fringe Festival (Fringe Fest Award), Toronto Harborfest Festival;
Hong Kong International Festival; Manchester and Newcastle, UK;
Dublin, Ireland; the Taranaki Festival, New Zealand; as well as
Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, Australia. Other productions include
the American Premiere of Tom Stoppard’s Hapgood at the Ahmanson,
Los Angeles, starring Judy Davis and the Off Broadway productions
of Louis Quinze and A Day Out of Time. Mr. Donoghue’s regional credits
include productions at Long Wharf Theatre, the Old Globe Theatre
in San Diego (Associate Artist); Westport Country Playhouse; Yale

WHITTAKER
(James Joyce) is happy to return to Court from Cyrano
and The Romance Cycle. Jay has played Lucio in Measure
for Measure at Chicago Shakespeare Theater, and this fall played
Richard Duke of Gloucester in Rose Rage off-Broadway at
the Duke theater on 42nd street. Other Chicago credits: Julius
Caesar, Love’s Labour Lost, The Tempest (After Dark Award),
A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and All’s Well that Ends
Well at Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Mother Courage
and David Copperfield at Steppenwolf, and work with Victory
Gardens and Famous Door Theatre. Jay received his MFA from SMU. |

(Production Stage Manager) has worked as a stage manager
in Chicago for the past eight years. A selection of shows she
has stage managed at Court Theatre include The Importance
of Being Earnest, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, James Joyce’s
“The Dead,” The Romance Cycle, Cyrano, Phédre, The Learned Ladies,
The Invention of Love, and Gross Indecency with
such directors as Charles Newell, JoAnne Akalaitis and Gary Griffin.
Other theatres include The Goodman, Lookingglass with 500 Clown,
The Royal George, Apple Tree, First Folio Shakespeare Festival
and Next Theatre. She has taught stage management classes at Northern
Illinois and De- Paul Universities.

KATE GAVIN (Assistant
Stage Manager) is pleased to return to Court Theatre for another
wonderful show. Prior credits include: Stage Manager for Broadway
Bound, Fools, Soufflé Surprise, Deathtrap, Caught in the Net, Proof
and Taffetas (Peninsula Players); PULP (About
Face Theatre); and The Joy of Going Somewhere Definite (Collaboraction).
She was the Assistant Stage Manager for The Importance of Being
Earnest, James Joyce's “The Dead” and The Romance Cycle
(Court Theatre), Mom’s the Word (The Royal George), and
A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Chicago Shakespeare Theater-Short
Shakespeare). Mary Kate also worked as the Floor Manager at The
Goodman Theatre for two years where she had the opportunity to work
on shows like Boy Gets Girl (American premiere), House
and Garden (American premiere), Wit and The Visit
(world premiere). She is a graduate of DePaul University’s Theatre
School. |
