THOMAS
J. COX
(Porter) is making his Court Theatre debut. For Lookingglass
(founding ensemble member): The Odyssey, The Jungle, West,
Arabian Nights, The Master and Margarita, The Great Fire, Nelson
Algren: For Keeps and a Single Day, Summertime, and Great
Men of Science, among many; directed his Jeff-nominated adaptation
of The Scarlet Letter; also teaches drama. Weston Playhouse
Theatre in Vermont: including Amos Hart in Chicago, Morning's
at Seven, Pirates of Penzance, Oklahoma, and Ragtime.

LINDA
GILLUM
(Cissy) makes her debut at Court Theatre in Fräulein
Else. She is an Artistic Associate with Remy Bumppo Theatre
Company where she has appeared in Some Americans Abroad, A
Child's Christmas in Wales, Holiday, Top Girls and Man
and Superman. Directing credits include Flaming Guns
of the Purple Sage and The Skriker (for Defiant
Theatre of which she is a member) and the world premiere of Vikings!
A Musical in Two Axe with Noble Fool Theatre. Linda has also
worked with A Red Orchid, Mercury, Northlight, Roadworks, Steppenwolf
and ShawChicago. TV/Film credits include Early Edition, Haunted,
Bruised Orange, and Veridical Dreams.

NED
NOYES
(Paul) returns to Court Theatre for his fourth production,
having appeared as Leandre in Scapin, Freddy in My
Fair Lady, and Kent in Mary Stuart. Recent credits
include The Taming of the Shrew (Chicago Shakespeare Theatre);
Orson's Shadow (Chicago Center for the Performing Arts);
And Neither Have I Wings to Fly (Fox Theatricals); and
several shows with Roadworks, including Stupid Kids, Betty's
Summer Vacation, and Life Under 30. Other credits
include WBEZ's Stories on Stage (Museum of Contemporary
Art); the regional premiere of Titanic: The Musical (Gateway
Playhouse); and work at Northlight Theatre. Ned is a graduate of
Northwestern University. |

RODERICK
PEEPLES
(Herr von Dorsday) is happy to return to Court's stage,
where he was last seen in Gross Indecency. He recently
played the title role in King Lear and Shylock in Merchant
of Venice for Illinois Shakespeare Festival, and appeared in
Famous Door's The Lonesome West and Chicago Shakespeare's
acclaimed revival of Pacific Overtures. Other work includes
productions at Goodman, Steppenwolf, Next, Organic, and Powertap.
He received Jeff Awards for his work in Roadworks' Dealer's
Choice and CT20 Ensemble's Orphans. On television,
Rick has appeared in ER, What About Joan, Early Edition,
and the Untouchables series. Film work includes Robert
Altman's The Company, Road to Perdition, Novocaine, The Hudsucker
Proxy and independent films Fair Ball, Sharkskins
and Brother II. |

PAULA
SCROFANO
(Mother) appeared at Court Theatre last season as Gretta
Conroy in James Joyce's “The Dead” and was
delighted to reprise her performance in this season's revival. Her
other Court credits include Judith Bliss in Hay Fever and
the Wife in Putting it Together, for which she received
a Jeff Award. She lists among her Chicago area credits Zlata in
Necessary Targets at Apple Tree Theatre; Mama Rose in Gypsy
at Theatre at the Center; Desiree Armfeldt in A Little Night
Music and Dot/Marie in Sunday in the Park with George at
Goodman Theatre; Kate in The Ballad of Little Jo at the
Steppenwolf Theatre; Bella in Lost in Yonkers and Maria
Merelli in Lend Me a Tenor at Royal George Theatre; the
title role in Victor/Victoria, Ida in Honk, and
Meg in Damn Yankees at Marriott Theatre; Titania in A
Midsummer Night's Dream at First Folio Shakespeare; and a Jeff
Award for Lily Garland in On the Twentieth Century at Drury
Lane Oakbrook. She is married to actor John Reeger. |

SNEED
(Else) is honored to make her debut at Court Theatre.
Her past credits include Orange Flower Water at Steppenwolf
Theatre Company, The Laramie Project, The Marvelous
Wonderettes, and The Fall Festival of the Future at
Madison Repertory Theatre, Romeo and Juliet at Chicago
Shakespeare Theatre, Paragon Springs, Gaslight, and Halcyon
Days at Timeline Theatre, The Mysteries of Harris Burdick
at WNEP Theatre, The American Girl Revue and Circle
of Friends at The American Girl Place as well as Independent
films including Jeff Farnsworth, Black Off a Crow and Adam.

CHRISTINE
D. FREEBURG
(Production Stage Manager) is thrilled to be back at
the Court after six months at the Weston Playhouse in Weston,
Vermont, stage managing Morning’s at Seven, Ragtime,
and a New England tour of Fences. Chris has stage managed
Scapin and Hamlet at Court and spent a few years
at Apple Tree Theatre in Highland Park and at Lookingglass Theatre
Company. Chris is happy to be working with her husband, Thom Cox,
back home in Chicago. |

SARA
GAMMAGE
(Assistant Stage Manager) is delighted to be working at
Court Theatre. Previous stage management credits include And
the World Goes ‘Round at Next Theatre, The Last Five
Years at Strawdog Theatre, and Ensemble Español
at the Auditorium Theatre. Sara looks forward to stage managing
at the Wagon Wheel Theatre in Warsaw, Indiana this summer. She is
an alumna of Northwestern University. Thanks to God, friends and
