CHRISTA
BUCK (Lily) is thrilled to return to Court’s production of “The Dead.” Last season, she understudied and performed the roles of Lily and Molly Ivors. Christa was last seen as April in Porchlight Music Theatre’s critically acclaimed production of Company. Other favorite roles include the title role in Cinderella with Emerald City, the Mistress in Passion with Porchlight, and Catherine de Brie in LaBete with Wayside Theatre in Virginina. Christa has also worked with The Savoy-Aires, Terrapin and New Tuners. For Thom and Charlotte.

(Mary Jane Morkan) is pleased to return to the role of Mary Jane
in James Joyce's "The Dead." She was last seen
at Court as Pisanio and Thaisa in The Romance Cycle. Other

CHRISTOPHER
CORDON (Freddy Malins) is thrilled to be returning to the stellar cast of “The Dead” where he originated the role of Freddy Malins last year. In New York, Chris performed with Theatreworks/USA in A Christmas Carol, and with Mo’son productions at venues in mid-town. As a graduate of North Carolina School of the Arts, he was happy to work on such great plays as The Time of Your Life and Look Back in Anger. Chris would like to thank his sister Katie. |

(Aunt Julia Morkan) is pleased to reprise her role in “The Dead” for which she recently won the Joseph Jefferson Award for Actress in a Supporting Role. Previous appearances at Court include The Orestia, Jumpers, The Caucasian Chalk Circle and The Gigli Concert. Other Chicago credits include Sunday in the Park with George (Goodman); Slaughterhouse Five (Steppenwolf); The Glamour House (Victory Gardens); A Lie of the Mind (ATC); Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (Apple Tree); Quilters (Northlight); Butley (Writers’ Theatre); Coriolanus (Next); and Hamlet (Wisdom Bridge). She has received an Artisan Award, two After Dark Awards, and six Jeff nominations. |

NEIL
FRIEDMAN (Mr. Browne) is happy to return to Court Theatre, reviving “The Dead.” Other Court appearances include The Romance Cycle and My Fair Lady. Neil comes directly from The Taming of the Shrew at Chicago Shakespeare, where he has appeared in Pacific Overtures, King Lear, and over twenty other productions. Other Chicago credits include Early and Often and Ghetto (Famous Door); Zoot Suit and Wings (Goodman); A Few Good Men (Theatre at the Center); 1776, The King and I, Chess, Matador (Marriott Theatre); My One and Only, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Jesus Christ Superstar [Jefferson Award] (Drury Lane Oakbrook); Woody Guthrie’s American Song (Northlight). ROBERT
ADELMAN HANCOCK
(Michael) returns
to Court Theatre, having originated the role of Michael in last season's
production of James Joyce's "The Dead." He has
spent the past year performing theatre for young audiences at Drury
Lane Evergreen Park, and serving as an Emcee for the national tour
of Sing-A-Long Wizard of Oz. Rob has performed with several
regional theatre companies, including the Utah Shakespeare Festival,
Milwaukee Repertory Theatre and Skylight Opera Theatre. He is a graduate
of the University of Tennessee. |

KIMBERLY
IRION
(Rita, Young Julia) just spent a season with American Players Theatre in Wisconsin, playing roles such as Miranda in The Tempest and Clara Hill in Pygmalion. She recently performed at Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Skylight Opera Theatre and American Folklore Theatre. Kimberly is thrilled to be in this wonderful production with her dear friend, Rob Hancock. Once upon a time, they shared the stage as Cinderella and Prince Charming in her very first high school musical.

CAREY
PETERS (Molly
Ivors) is thrilled to be back at Court Theatre, where she has appeared in Twelfth Night, Piano, The Learned Ladies, and Fair Ladies at a Game of Poem Cards. Most recently, Carey appeared at the Apollo Theater in The Vagina Monologues. She has worked with many Chicago area theaters including Steppenwolf, Northlight, and American Theater Company. Carey would like to dedicate this performance to her incredible family, whose support means everything. |

JOHN
REEGER
(Gabriel
Conroy)
is pleased to reprise the role of Gabriel Conroy. Earlier this year,
he was seen as Leontes in The Winter's Tale (Chicago Shakespeare)
and Mr. Paravacini in The Mousetrap (Drury Lane Oakbrook).
He has appeared in twenty-nine Court Theatre productions, most recently
Hamlet, My Fair Lady, Hay Fever, Twelfth Night, Piano, Life's
a Dream, and The Learned Ladies. He co-authored The
Christmas Schooner (music and lyrics by Julie Shannon), which
will be revived for its ninth season at the Bailiwick Theatre. He
is married to actress Paula Scrofano. |

SCROFANO
(Gretta Conroy) is delighted to reprise her performance as Greta
Conroy. Paula has appeared at Court Theatre as Judith Bliss in Hay
Fever and as the Wife in Putting it Together, for which
she received a Jeff Award. She lists among her Chicago credits Mama
Rose in Gypsy (Theatre at the Center), Desiree Armfeldt in
A Little Night Music and Dot/Marie in Sunday in the Park
with George (Goodman Theatre), Bella in Lost in Yonkers and
Maria Merelli in Lend Me a Tenor (Royal George Theatre),
and the title role in Victor/Victoria (Marriott Theatre). |

SLUSHER
(Mrs. Malins) is proud to make her Court Theatre debut. Most
recently, she appeared as Mrs. Grogan in The Cider House Rules
(Famous Door Theatre). She has worked in association with Griffin
Theatre, Apple Tree, Light Opera Works, Theo Ubique, New Empires Theatre,
and KKT Productions, to name a few. Favorite roles include Aunt Hannah
in All the Way Home, Beatrice Joanna in The Changeling,
and Maggie in The Shadow Box. |

WALLEM (Bartell
D’Arcy) is delighted to reprise his appearance from last year’s production of “The Dead.” Recent credits include At Wit’s End (Northlight Theatre), A Little Night Music and Passion with Patti LuPone (Ravinia Festival) and the workshop production of Doll with David Hyde Pierce. For eight years he appeared as both Jinx and Sparky in various companies of Forever Plaid including Chicago, Las Vegas, Denver, Peninsula Players, Theatre at the Center, and the first National Tour. |

STEVENSON WHITNEY (Aunt
Kate Morkan) was last seen at Court Theatre as Agnes
in A Delicate Balance. Most recently, she was seen as Hecuba
in Goodman Theatre's production of The Trojan Women. Other
Chicago credits include productions at American Theatre Company, Apple
Tree, Chicago Dramatists, Northlight, Steppenwolf, Drury Lane Oakbrook,
Marriott Theatre and the Mercury Theatre. She has also appeared at
Actors' Theatre of Louisville and Sacramento Theatre company. Film

ADAM GOOS (Understudy) is pleased to be working
at Court Theatre in James Joyce's "The Dead." Adam recently
appeared as Captain Walker in The Who's Tommy with White
House Theater and as The Electric Shovel in Lifeline's Mike Mulligan
and His Steam Shovel. Some of Adam's past credits include Something
for the Boys, Wonderful Town, Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar and Joseph... Adam holds an MFA in Theatre Performance from the
Theatre Conservatory at Roosevelt University. |

TIFFANY SCOTT (Understudy) most recently appeared in Finding the Sun as part of the Edward Albee Festival at The Goodman. Other Chicago credits include Pentecost with Irish Repertory of Chicago, Hauptmann at TimeLine, M. Butterfly at Apple Tree, Jane Eyre at Lifeline and Childe Byron at Eclipse. Tiffany has also worked with Chicago Shakespeare, Organic, Court Defiant, Stage Left, New Tuners, Griffin and TinFish. |

ORCHESTRA
DOUG PECK (Musical Director/Piano) is delighted to debut at Court Theatre. Music direction credits include Into the Woods (Triton College), This Just In: The Waa-Mu Show 2003 (Northwestern University), and two summers as Musical Director of the Wagon Wheel Theatre, with favorites like Phantom, Titanic, and Hello, Dolly! Peck is a Northwestern graduate, and also works as a vocal coach for theatre and opera singers.
MARTINE BENMANN (Cello) has been active in the music field as a teacher (Sherwood Conservatory of Music, Roosevelt University), orchestra player, chamber musician, and soloist ever since she arrived in Chicago in 1988. Her primary interest is in chamber music, and she has toured with duos and trios in Europe, Russia, and the United States. Ms. Benmann’s repertoire extends from the music of the Baroque to contemporary music. She received her musical education in France, Germany, Moscow and the U.S. She is an Artist Diploma Graduate from Roosevelt University.
MARIE MICOL BENNETT (Flute) is pleased to be returning to Court Theatre for “The Dead.” Previous Court appearances have included the 2002 production of “The Dead,” as well as Leonard Bernstein’s Candide in 1991. Ms. Bennett maintains an active freelance schedule, performs regularly with the Illinois Symphony Orchestra, Rockford Symphony, New Philharmonic and Decatur Symphony Orchestra, and maintains a private teaching studio. Marie can be heard on several CDs on the GIA and OCP music labels. She has studied with Mary Stolper, Richard Graef, Walfrid Kujala and Susan Levitin. Ms. Bennett holds a BM from Northwestern University (1995) and an MM from DePaul University (2002).
TIM MEADE (Guitar) is happy to be working again with music director Doug Peck having recently performed with him in The Last Five Years with The Syndicate Productions and Promises, Promises with Wagon Wheel Theatre. Tim is also one half of the acoustic rock duo, Quinn’s Uncles (www.quinnsuncles.com), which can be seen performing around the Chicagoland area. He would like to thank Amber, Jim, and all of his family for their endless support.
EUGENIA WIE (Violin), born in Chicago, started her studies at the age of five and enjoyed her first radio performance at the age of nine. As a chamber musician and recitalist, she has performed at Hasselburg Castle in Germany, Groznjan, Croatia with members of the Gurzenich Orchestra where the performances were broadcast over Croatian National Radio, St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York, Glencairn Castle in Philadelphia, the Fine Arts Building at Bein and Fushi, and the Harold Washington Library in Chicago. She completed her undergraduate degree at Rice University where she was a pupil of Sergiu Luca and continued her studies at the Mannes College of Music with Daniel Phillips of the Orion String Quartet. Last year she was a recipient of a grant from the Frank Huntington Beebe Foundation allowing her to take her studies abroad to Germany.
