ANDREW BURLINSON (Ensemble) is an actor and songwriter from New York. Favorite roles include Tranio in The Taming of the Shrew and his clown, Festoon, in A Night at the Trojan Wall: A Clown Illiad. Andrew studied acting at the Actors Center in New York, and holds a bachelors degree in English from Harvard University. When not manipulating puppets, Andrew is a Blue Man in Blue Man Group: Rewired at the Briar Street Theater. Special thanks to my family for their unwavering support and love, to Jim and Charlie for inviting me into these cool theater families, and to Amber for creating an oasis in the coach house.

CHAON CROSS (Roxane) is happy to return to Court Theatre and debut with Redmoon Theater. She was last seen as Bianca in The Taming of the Shrew at Chicago Shakespeare on Navy Pier. Chaon has appeared in the Court’s productions of Scapin, Phédre, and The Romance Cycle, and has also worked in Chicago with First Folio Shakespeare Festival, Frump Tucker, Shattered Globe, Timeline Theatre Company, and Theatre Hikes. Before moving to Chicago, Chaon toured the U.S. and Canada for two years with Shenandoah Shakespeare. She thanks her fiancé for daily inspiration and joy.

ALLEN GILMORE (Cyrano) is excited to return to Court Theatre and debut with Redmoon in this production of Cyrano. He was seen last season at Court as the miserly father Argante in the Moliere farce, Scapin, earning a BTA nomination. He created the role of James Hewlett in The Acting Company’s production of The African Company Presents Richard the Third for which he received New York’s AuDelCo award. He has performed both Othello and Iago in productions of Othello that toured Canada and the United States, respectively. In summers, he performs with the Idaho Shakespeare Festival in Boise. Allen dedicates these performances to his sister-in-law, Melanie, and nephew, Craig Jr.

ALISON HALSTEAD (Ragueneau) is pleased to be working once again with both Redmoon and Court. She was a part of Redmoon’s Jeff Awarded Unbinding Isaac and she assisted with choreography and performed in two Halloween Pageants. With the Court, Alison was in The Mystery Cycle: The Creation and The Passion. Recently she created an original solo piece, The Invisible Man, which she performed at Running With Scissors’ Scissors New Works in Progress (Snips) Performance Series. Also with RWS, of which she is a founding member, Alison was in Lysistrata, Breathing Underwater, and the Jeff Nominated and After Dark awarded The Man Who Fell In Love With The Moon. Alison has worked with Steppenwolf, Lifeline, Goodman, Bailiwick, Black Ensemble, Chicago Shakespeare, Greenhouse Lab, Next, Organic/Organic Greenhouse and Victory Gardens.

VANESSA STALLING (Ensemble) feels quite lucky to be working with Redmoon Theater and Court Theatre as well as the uniquely talented artists that Redmoon and the Court attracts. Vanessa has worked with Redmoon on several projects including Seagull, Nina, and Galway’s Shadow. She is also a Stage Manager Sub for Blue Man Group.

JAY WHITTAKER (Christian) returns to Court having appeared in The Romance Cycle. Most recently Jay was seen as Richard of Gloucester in Edward Hall’s Rose Rage at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, which he’ll be performing off-Broadway this fall, also Casca in Julius Caesar, Longaville and Berowne in Love’s Labour’s Lost, and Ariel in The Tempest (After Dark Award). Other Chicago credits include Mother Courage and David Copperfield (Steppenwolf); And Neither Have I Wings to Fly (Fox Theatricals); and Ghetto (Famous Door Theater). Other credits include the title role in Richard III (Illinois Shakespeare Festival); and work with The Bathhouse Theatre (Seattle); and the Seattle Fringe Festival. Television, Early Edition (CBS). |

MANAGEMENT
LAXMI KUMARAN (Production Stage Manager) has worked as a stage manager in Chicago for the past seven years. A selection of shows she has stage managed at Court Theatre include Guys and Dolls, James Joyce’s “The Dead,” The Sound of a Voice, Phèdre, Life’s a Dream, Mary Stuart, Piano, The Little Foxes, The Learned Ladies, The Invention of Love, and Gross Indecency with such directors as JoAnne Akalaitis, Charles Newell and Gary Griffin. She has also stage managed A Christmas Carol, Long Day’s Journey Into Night, and Galileo Galilei at the Goodman Theatre working with Robert Falls and Mary Zimmerman. Other theatres include the Royal George, Apple Tree Theatre, First Folio Shakespeare Festival and Next Theatre. She has taught stage management classes at Northern Illinois, DePaul, and Northwestern Universities.
