Photo: Michael Brosilow.MICHAEL SOMMERS (Scenic Designer) has more than 20 years of professional theatre experience encompassing directing, design, acting, composing and technical work. His work has been seen at The Guthrie Theater, the Henson International Festival of Puppet Theatre, The Humana Festival, Denver Center Theatre Company, Children’s Theatre Company of Minneapolis, Theatre de la Jeune Lune, the Walker Art Center and elsewhere. He is the founder of Open Eye Figure Theatre, whose work has been presented in New York, Winnipeg and Minneapolis. Currently he is starting a program of the Puppetry Arts at the University of Minnesota. He is the recipient of numerous grants and awards.

ELIZABETH CAITLIN WARD (Costume Designer) is designing her first production at Court Theatre. In Seattle, she has worked extensively with Intiman Theatre’s Artistic Director, Bartlett Sher, over the past five years, including Intiman’s productions of Titus Andronicus (also Idaho Shakespeare Festival) and Cymbeline (also Royal Shakespeare Company, Theatre for a New Audience and Idaho Shakespeare Festival). Ms. Ward has also designed costumes for his productions of Many Colors Make the Thunder King (Atlas Room Theater, TSA) and The Tales of Washington Irving (Portland Stage Company). Her other credits include Archipelago (The Flying Machine Theater Company, Santiago, Chile), The Ghost Sonata (Single Strand Theater Ensemble), The Sadness of Others (La MaMa E.T.C.) and The Quiet Hour (an independent film produced in association with the Australian Council for Film and Television).
