JEFF CALDWELL (Musical Director, Nérine) is pleased to make his Chicago debut. In Seattle, he was pianist for transfers of Chicago’s Forever Plaid and Play On!, and thinks it only fair that he gets to travel with this show to the Windy City. Jeff enjoys a diverse theatrical career, and in the past season music directed West Side Story, directed and choreographed Cabaret and The Boyfriend, played Al in The Most Happy Fella, and produced his solo cabaret Singing the Songs That I Want, for which he wrote the title song. He offers special thanks to Matt Krause for creating his instrumental arrangement for Scapin. |

CHAON CROSS (Hyacinte) hails from lovely Eureka Springs, nestled in the Ozark mountains of Arkansas. She most recently appeared as Aricia in Court Theatre’s Phèdre. Before moving to Chicago she toured for two years with Shenandoah Shakespeare throughout the US and Canada. Favorite roles on tour were Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, Hero in Much Ado about Nothing, and Mephastophilis in Dr. Faustus. Since moving to the Windy City in 2001, she has had the pleasure of working with the following theatre companies: Theatre Hikes, Timeline, Shattered Globe, Frump Tucker, and First Folio Shakespeare Festival. Grateful and thrilled to be working with Court, she looks forward to this season’s plays and the incredible stories that are to be told. |

JASON DENUSZEK (Porter) is excited to be making his first appearance at Court Theatre in Scapin. A Midwest native, Jason has worked with such fine companies as Chicago Shakespeare Theater (A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Romeo & Juliet, Richard II), American Theater Company (The Mineola Twins), and Timeline Theater Company (Halycon Days, Streeterville). Jason most recently performed in The Monument with JABOA Theater Company at Victory Gardens Theater. Other collaborations include Montana Shakespeare in the Parks, First Stage Theater (Milwaukee), Next Act Theater (Milwaukee), and theatrevolution, for which he is a founding member. |

SEAN FORTUNATO (Silvestre) was last seen in Scapin at Intiman in Seattle. Chicago credits include: Tegeus in Phoenix Too Frequent - After Dark Award, Carlos in Spite For Spite, Leduc in Incident at Vichy, Bolingbroke in Richard II (Writers’ Theatre); Exeter in Henry V, Demetrius in Short Shakespeare: Midsummer…, the Duke in Comedy of Errors (Chicago Shakespeare Theatre); Young Scrooge in Christmas Carol, Le Beau in As You Like It (Goodman Theatre); Sir Evelyn in Anything Goes, Paul in Big (Drury Lane-Oakbrook). Other credits include: Matthew in Private Eyes (Old Globe Theatre), Joe in Last Night of Ballyhoo (Peninsula Players), Brutus in Julius Caesar (Montana Shakespeare), the Duke in Measure for Measure (Milwaukee Shakespeare). This winter Sean will play Dvornichek in Rough Crossing at Writers’ Theatre. |

ALLEN GILMORE (Argante) makes his Court Theatre debut with this production, but he has previously appeared at Intiman Theatre in Seattle as Pisanio in Cymbeline and as Aaron, the Moor, in Titus Andronicus. Other favorite roles include James Hewlett/Richard III in The African Company Presents Richard III, Iago in Othello and the title role of Othello. He has recorded two audio books, The Autobiography of an Ex-Colored Man and An American Story: The Odyssey of Solomon Northup, both available through Masterbuy Audio Books. |

CHESTER GREGORY (Octave) is excited about making his Court debut. He is best known for his portrayal of Jackie Wilson in The Jackie Wilson Story (Jeff Award, Black Excellence Award) at Black Ensemble. Others include Doo Wop Shoo Bop, Chicago's Golden Soul, and Drowning Crow (Goodman). He guest starred on the new TV series "American Dreams" (NBC). He holds a BA in Musical Theater from Columbia College and was selected for Disney's The Lion King Master Classes. He has several BTAA nominations and has performed in London and Germany. KIMBERLY HÉBERT-GREGORY (Zerbinette) Chicago credits include Waiting to Be Invited (Victory Gardens Theatre), The Amen Corner (Goodman Theatre), Pericles (greasy joan theatre company), Richard II (Writers’ Theatre) and A Red Death, Train Is Coming and Shakin’ the Mess Outta Misery, for which she received a Black Theatre Alliance Award and Joseph Jefferson nomination (all Chicago Theatre Company). Regional credits include Fannie in Flyin’ West and Sister Laura in Tambourines to Glory (Ensemble Theatre, Texas). Her European credits include Ronnette in Little Shop of Horrors (Hamburg, Germany). Television: “Early Edition,” “Ames” and numerous industrial videos. Education: B.A. from Mount Holyoke College, M.A. from University of Chicago. MATTHEW KRAUSE (Musician, Carle) previously appeared at Court Theatre in Piano, Twelfth Night and Fair Ladies at a Game of Poem Cards. Other credits include Dylan (Brinnen), Richard III (Buckingham), The Tempest (Sebastian) and Grand Hotel (Sandor). Mr. Krause is also a freelance musician, playing and arranging for musicals and cabarets. |

NED NOYES (Léandre) was most recently seen in the remount of Austin Pendleton's Orson’s Shadow at Chicago Center for the Performing Arts. Chicago credits include My Fair Lady, Mary Stuart (Court Theatre), And Neither Have I Wings to Fly (Fox Theatricals) and several shows with Roadworks including Betty’s Summer Vacation, Life Under 30, This is Our Youth and the Jeff-winning Stupid Kids. Regional works includes 42nd Street, 1776 and the regional premiere of Titanic: The Musical at Gateway Playhouse. |

JEREMY SHAMOS (Scapin) makes his debut at Court Theatre with this production. Off-Broadway credits include The Complete Works of William Shakespeare: Abridged (Century Center), Race (Classic Stage Company), Stranger (Vineyard Theatre), Corpus Christi (Manhattan Theatre Company), The Alchemist, and Cymbeline (NYSF). Regionally, he has appeared in Observe the Sons of Ulster (Huntington Theatre); Comedy of Errors, and the world premiere of Baptist (Hartford Stage); The Grey Zone and the American premiere of The Bungler (Long Wharf); Sheridan (La Jolla Playhouse); and Angels in America, Picasso at the Lapin Agile, and The Crucible (Hangar Theater). Jeremy holds an MFA in acting from NYU. |

DAVID SILVERMAN (Géronte, Choreographer) has entertained people as an actor, stand-up comedian, singer, dancer, choreographer, director and emcee throughout his 28-year career. A familiar face to Northwest audiences for his work on stage and television, he has a long list of credits including winning the first Seattle Laugh-Off in 1980. His additional credits include A Chorus Line, Angry Housewives and Rumors for Tacoma Actors Guild; Stellaluna, The Velveteen Rabbit and many others at Seattle Children’s Theatre; 1776 and A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine (as Groucho Marx) at 5th Avenue Theatre; and many productions at the Cabaret de Paris, where he was seen in Forbidden Xmas and Boogie Oogie Fever. Recently, he was in the Seattle Repertory Theatre’s production of Inspecting Carol. Mr. Silverman has been to the top of Kilamanjaro, driven across the Sahara Desert, hunted with Pygmies in the rain forest of the Congo, visited the mountain gorillas in Rwanda and witnessed the falling of the Wall in Berlin in 1989. He was the creator/director of the “Walkabout” team for New Balance shoes at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. He is most proud of his longest running shownine years with his stunning wife Stacya. |
