Classic Magazine

The Romance Cycle is a journey through Shakespeare’s two earliest Romances, Cymbeline and Pericles. Both plays take place in mythical, almost fairy-tale, settings and tell gripping edge-of-your-seat stories. Their tales of love, loss and family reconciliation unite them creating an epic theatrical experience. Their plots are a series of exciting episodes: like the tales in Arabian Nights and Ovid’s Metamorphoses the journey rather than the journey’s end drives the story-telling.

A Chat from the Wings - Alyssa Volker interviews actors Guy Adkins and Kate Fry about the rehearsal process for The Romance Cycle.
In Process - Bill Massolia talks with Director Charlie Newell about the developmental stages and evolution of The Romance Cycle.
Old Tales Told Anew - Lauren Bergquist writes about the performance history of Cymbeline and Pericles.
