The
Romance Cycle is a journey through Shakespeare’s two
earliest Romances, Cymbeline and Pericles. Both
plays take place in mythical, almost fairy-tale, settings and tell
gripping edge-of-your-seat stories. Their tales of love, loss and
family reconciliation unite them creating an epic theatrical experience.
Their plots are a series of exciting episodes: like the tales in
Arabian Nights and Ovid’s Metamorphoses
the journey rather than the journey’s end drives the story-telling.
